Having started in the finance industry back in 2011, I like business to be simple and effective. My speciality within the industry is equipment and vehicle financing, having studied Asset Finance at the London Institute of Banking and Finance. For me, this role is about being there when needed with the knowledge my clients are seeking. Away from the office, I like to see new places, spend time in the gym and am also a keen climber.

I became involved in commercial finance in 2014 after realising my degree in psychology wasn’t my bag. I’m now finding my days are much more varied working with clients up and down the country, from the construction sector to solicitors and beyond. I enjoy helping these businesses through their growth plans from talking through their initial ideas to seeing the result. Outside of BFH you can find me (slowly) hiking the Welsh hills with my two dogs or pretending to be a chef at home.

I started out in finance in 2012, originally working in the education sector assisting schools, colleges, and universities. I then moved over to the world of corporate and professional finance in 2014. Building relationships is a key part of my day and I have enjoyed getting to know my introducers and their clients over the years. I’m North Wales based, meaning other than hiking or hitting the coast, there’s not much to do – so always happy to grab a football match if you have a spare ticket! Preferably Liverpool.

I have worked in finance for over 20 years, gaining experience in both retail and business lending along the way. I enjoy building relationships and working closely with all my clients to understand their business and what it needs. This is the enjoyment of the job for me, seeing the results and watching businesses grow. I have a work ethic of work hard, play hard – when I’m not in the office you will find me out in the wilds enjoying the national parks of this great country. Hiking, climbing, and camping, recharging the batteries for the week ahead.

Some might suggest 2008 wasn’t the best of years for me to change career path and move into the world of commercial finance. But that’s what I did and I’ve never looked back! For the past 14 years I have been committed to supporting and partnering hundreds of SME’s in all business sectors, both Corporate and Professional. Providing bespoke business finance solutions to enable growth and development, is my passion. Away from the office I enjoy family time at our caravan by the beach and travelling.

I started my career in commercial finance in 2014 shortly after completing my Masters degree. 

Problem solving is a key aspect to a customer’s requirement and that can come in all guises, from spreading the cost of a tax bill to a complete plant and machinery refinance. Making business owners realise what’s achievable with the bespoke solutions that I can provide is incredibly rewarding.  The past decade in finance has flown by and I’m sure the next ten years will go even quicker.

Away from the office you’ll usually find me at a racetrack or some other sporting event. There isn’t much better than a cold Wednesday evening at Dunstall Park (well in my opinion anyway).
